Abstract Submission Guidance
General rules
- Only studies or reports which describe the use of REDCap will be considered eligible by the Scientific Committee of the Second Latin American and Brazilian REDCapCon.
- We will accept reports derived from experimental or observational studies, clinical registries, quality indicator programs, as well as, use cases of REDCap functionalities, interoperability between REDCap and other systems, governance models and IT support.
- Each author may register up to two abstracts as a main author. There is no limit for participation as a co-author. Each abstract may have a maximum of one author and five co-authors.
Abstract categories
- Abstracts may be presented orally or in poster sessions.
- For each submission, the main author may indicate the preference for oral or poster presentation. However, the peer-reviewers will decide the format of the presentation according to the score obtained during the evaluation process.

Guidance for the elaboration of the abstracts
- Title: it should be concise, allowing for the comprehension of the main topic of the study. Maximum 200 characters typed in lower-case letters.
- Abstract: the text must be well structured, comprising Introduction, Objective, Method, Results and Conclusion. The abstract must not exceed 300 words.
- Keywords: you should indicate 3 to 6 terms that identify the content of the abstract, using preferably, MeSH (Medical Subject Heading, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh )descriptors.
Language
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- The presentation may be done either in Portuguese or English. Simultaneous translation English/Portuguese will be available for Oral Presentations.
Awarding the best abstracts
- The Scientific Committee together with the conference’s participants will evaluate and grade each abstract or poster.
- The announcement of the three best abstracts (Oral or Poster) will be done on the afternoon of March 5, 2021.
